As a 23-year veteran of law enforcement I have had the opportunity to work in western, northern, eastern, and central Canada.  During that time, I have been involved in countless high-risk calls involving weapons, high risk vehicle take towns and physical altercations during arrest.  I have been an Emergency Response Team member for 5 years working in eastern and central Canada.  I am an instructor trainer in several police disciplines including the patrol carbine.  I am also an instructor in firearms, public and police safety, response to an active shooter, and tazer. As an emergency response team member, I have been involved in several high profile take downs, high risk ambushes and protection of Canada’s politicians.  I am involved in the Emergency Response Team national selection and have had the opportunity to instruct a basic SWAT course overseas.

As an officer dealing with night shifts, physical challenges during arrest, mental agility with little sleep, raising three children and completion of the toughest course in Canadian policing, I can say without reservation that, maintaining a high degree of fitness and strength takes work and discipline. Throughout my service I have learned the level of physical fitness required to complete the job confidently and effectively and now provide this knowledge to refine Assault Athletics, to create a highly effective law enforcement physical training program.
